DANCE | EVENTS
LACHSA Dance Department presents two major all dance department events each year; Winter Offerings in December and Spring Dance Concert in the Spring. In December, the department presents Senior Solo work and in May, both Junior and Senior dancers present student choreography work. The Dance Department also collaborates with the Music Department in their Piano Recital.
The Dance Department also supports the LACHSA Foundation by performing at the annual Foundation Gala and also at the LACHSA Foundation Donor Luncheon event. Every second year the Dance Department enters dance pieces, both group and solo to compete at the National High School Dance Festival in Pittsburgh. Many dance students also participate in the twice yearly LACHSA Musical Theatre Productions.
The parent community provides essential support for all these events. Winter Offerings is our main fundraising event that directly benefits the dance department so we hope that parents support this event with their attendance.

Join the Dance Department and the senior class as they showcase incredible solo performances. 12th grade students will showcase incredible movements and choreography honed over 3-4 years of practice and discipline while at LACHSA.

The Jade Ceremony open to all dance students to attend has its origins in the early days of LACHSA and the first graduating class of dance students. It was initiated by the first Dance Department Chair, Don Bondi. We celebrate the graduation of our Senior Class and their achievements and students are presented with a Jade necklace. All Dance majors invited!
