DANCE | COMMUNITY
Our parent community is such an important and integral part of the success of the LACHSA Dance Department.
Parents can volunteer in many different ways; from serving dancer meals, creating flower
grams to steaming tutus!
We are looking for parents to lead our dance community and coordinate all the important volunteer opportunities.
If you are unable to take on a leadership position, please consider volunteering for a task
when our signups are posted. We always need your help!
DANCE
PARENT REPS
The Dance Department gathers a team of dedicated parents, two parents from each grade level (one parent during Covid), to be the pivotal team in planning and executing all our dance department events. Two of these parents will be the parent team leaders and will work closely with the Department Chair.
Our team of parent representatives will also discuss and support the relationship between dancers, parents and faculty. The team will meet monthly to discuss ideas and coordinate planning concepts. Parent leadership has a commitment term of two years.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
There are multiple events in the Dance Department which present opportunities for those interested in volunteering:
DANCE OFFERINGS - LOFT - December
All grade “open-house” style event where parents are presented with a snapshot of their dancers time in class. Meals are provided to both dancers and ticket holders and we create an opportunity for our parents to meet and socialize with this event.
SENIOR SOLOS - LOFT - December
Seniors present their solo work.
SPRING DANCE CONCERT - Luckman - Mar. or Apr.
Our showcase dance event of the year featuring all our department dancers in multiple dance choreographies and over two or three performances. There will be many “front of house” and “backstage” volunteer tasks for parent volunteers.
