What is the best thing about being back in person? Is there anything that surprised you about being in the studio?
The best thing about being back in person is being able to experience movement in a live form. I miss being critiqued in person because zoom was very difficult in that sense. I also miss the big space. After quarantine, I don’t like dancing in my room anymore.
What is your favorite thing about LACHSA right now?
I get to see my friends in person along with just being outside again!
What are your goals for this year as a Dance Major?
My goal is to keep focused in class and not distract myself. I also want to continue being confident!
What is something you’re looking forward to experiencing this year as a Dance major?
More opportunities to perform on stage!

skateboarding
What is your favorite type of music to listen to?
all types of music! I don’t have a preference.
What is your favorite type of music to dance to?
classical, jazz, and pop (depending on the song).
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
teleportation because I would like to be on time to things and I can get to places quicker.
Do you have any future summer plans that are dance related? Any summer intensives? Competitions? Workshops? Etc.
I don’t know at the moment but I will definitely do Dance Theatre of Harlem during the summer and attend classes here and there during the year.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your freshman self?
To not seek validation from the students in my class nor teachers. It will mess with your confidence and self-esteem.
